Library Board
While the Mattoon
Public Library is a city library, it is governed by a volunteer
board whose members are appointed to three year terms. The
Mayor of Mattoon makes the appointments that are then approved
by the Mattoon City Council.
Members of the
library board work with the Library's Director and staff
to manage the Library's resources and property.
The current
